Snowflake cloud data platform

Snowflake is a ANSI SQL OLAP cloud data platform with a unique data architecture.  For Microsoft users, Snowflake is hosted on Azure and can be integrated with Power BI.  Snowflake is also hosted on AWS and GCP, and we have a growing network of partner technologies to give you flexibility over your tech stack.  This presentation will include a demonstration of the Snowflake cloud data platform where we will load data from multiple sources, normalize JSON files, query data, and visualize the results in a BI tool.  A Q&A session will follow the demo to wrap up our session.

Ramya Depa  and Matt Noroña

Ramya Depa – Ramya is a Corporate Sales Engineer at Snowflake and has been with the company for about 6 months. As a professional with a background in finance, data analytics, and technology, she has an ambition to work alongside investors, innovators, experts, and entrepreneurs.

Before Snowflake, Ramya worked in business applications consulting in the Oracle ecosystem for a couple years after graduating from the University of Denver with a double major in Finance and Business Information Analytics in spring of 2017. In her free time, she volunteers at Alchemist Accelerator, B2B startup accelerator based in San Francisco to build partnerships with vendors.

Ramya loves educating her clients and partners about the unique value Snowflake offers and working side by side to determine and validate business value that Snowflake drives.

Matt Noroña – Matt is the Snowflake Corporate Account Executive for Colorado, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, and other midwest states.

Prior to beginning a career in sales, Matt was a mental health counselor and teacher for young adults.  Because of this background, Matt enjoys building connections with individuals to understand their specific business goals while uncovering barriers to success, creating partnerships between organizations for collaborative work, and providing consistent, long-term support for customers to ensure their satisfaction with Snowflake.

Before Snowflake, Matt worked at Adobe and Marketo, which gives him a strong understanding of how marketers leverage data to personalize customer journeys and calculate ROI/campaign effectiveness.
