Migrating to the Amazon Cloud with High Availability
These days you can’t get away from working with the Cloud. Along with Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is arguably the largest cloud provider with impressive $16 billion in cloud revenue generated over the past 12-month period.
Amazon offers lots of services from fully managed Amazon RDS to self-managed Amazon EC2. How to decide which product is right for your company, and how to get the best performance will be discussed along with how to implement a 24X7 high availability system in the Amazon and multiple clouds.
Eric Peterson is director of Database Administration at PayGo.
